Made by female residential collective Frauentreff Brueckenhof.
A group of young feminist had the plan the make 7000 crocheted
flowers to stop the
violence against women. During Lumbung documenta fifteen they
wanted to draw attention to violence against women in Kassel’s
public space. And the women of Frauentreff Brueckenhof made over
1000 for them, which we partly could sell over the vendingmachines.
Visitors were invited to place the crocheted flowers somewhere in
the city. All the sales go back to the Violets Against Violence
campaign.
The product was sold during documenta fifteen, at Lumbung Kios
located in Hübner-Areal venue. We exhibited and sold rural objects,
creations and artworks that tell local stories from areas around
Kassel about our local partners. And goods from our visiting Rural
School of Economics network, that came to documenta with trade in
their suitcase.
